About Me

Well, to start with, my name is Holly! I started this blog as a place to sort out my thoughts regarding the struggles I go through in life. At the time I started this, I was mostly focused on selling my house, figuring out my depression, and trying to conceive baby #2 after years of infertility.

January of 2011 was a big month for us, as a couple weeks after starting this blog we DID sell our house, and then on January 25th I found out I'm pregnant! Not surpringly, this hasn't removed those two focuses from my life, but rather added more stress to them. I'm in the throes of packing and moving as we speak, and am doing everything in my power to not give in to the fear that I'll miscarry this little baby we've been blessed with. I'm still working on the depression thing too!

Another important part of my life includes my being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and am a completely different and happier person since I was introduced to the Church when I was 18. My faith, though imperfect, has sustained me through many trials, and I hope that it will sustain through all trials. I struggle with having hope, perhaps owing to my depression, or simply to my own weakness, but it's something I'm working on, which you'll see throughout my blog.

Other than that, I'm just a normal momma to the sweetest little boy ever, named Elijah. He lights up my life in a way I never thought possible, and I'm so grateful that he is mine. I love to take photos of him, and post some from time to time.

I love classic novels, and am especially fond of Jane Austen and Lucy Maud Montgomery. I love Disney movies, Beauty and the Beast being my favourite. I read All. The. Time. It's the one thing I make time for in my life. I love words and the English language, as messed up as it is, and find it really fun when I use a word that Matt (my husband) thinks I made up, and then I prove him wrong. It's a pride thing.

I'm sure there's more to me, but I don't want to ramble too much. I'm very prone to it, and this is, after all, only an "About Me" page!
